About Tackle Treasures…

When most folks think about antique fishing collectibles they think of tackle. They conjure up images of fine bamboo rods, early reels, wooden lures with glass eyes, hand carved ice-fishing decoys or perhaps leather trimmed split willow creels …but not me. My favorite vintage fishing related items are gizmos, gadgets, doohickeys and paraphernalia of all kinds. I like bottles, boxes, tins, medals, pins, fly tying vises, gadgets, advertising items and all sorts of things with a fishing theme. I am particularly fond of “smalls” …those items which are easily held in the palm of ones hand.
