Recent Additions
In my 45 years of collecting tackle there have been months when I made several additions to the collection of whatever type of tackle I was collecting at the time and there have been times when I have gone several months without adding a single thing. With that in mind, here are my “recent” additions …which may have been acquired yesterday or several months ago. When it comes to collecting, “recent” has a lot of latitude.

“In 1889 R. C. Leonard, A Tournament Caster, Stepped To The Platform Without A Reel On His Rod And Simply Coiled The Line At His Feet. With That Abbreviated Rig He Proceeded To Smash All Existing Distance Records, Including His Own, By A Wide Margin.”

Upon The Death Of Hiram Leonard, Reuben Took Over The Leonard Rod Company

An Uncatalogued 2.25″ Narrow Spool Leonard-Mills Reel. This Size Was Once Referred To As The Model 33, But It Was A Wide Spool Reel.

The Lightweight Was Introduced In 1910.
Perforations Were Added In 1913, Creating The Version Collectors Refer To As The “Perforated” Reel.

An Allcocks “Caledonia Minnow” And A Copy Of “Hints To Anglers, With Maps” By Adam Dryden.
Published in 1862

The 2-3/4″ Narrow Spool Hardy Perfect Was Only Made in 1911 And 1912, Making It One Of The Rarest Of All Hardy Reels

I Wonder If The Mentioned “Mr. Moffat” Instituted The Moffat Handicap Cup
